Course Description
This course covers civilian response to active shooter situations through a review of past active shooter events and the lessons learned from them. Participants will learn about threat recognition and prevention, tactics to increase their chances of survival during an active shooter event, and the pros and cons of civilian firearm use during these incidents. The training also includes explosives recognition and appropriate response to bomb threats. Participants will complete bleeding control certification and tactical medical training and will receive a certificate from the National Stop the Bleed course.
