Event Terms & Conditions

By registering for or purchasing a sponsorship for any Nevada State Apartment Association (NVSAA) event, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions.

Registration & Payment

Submission of a registration for an NVSAA event legally binds you to payment of the associated registration fee selected. Payment is due and payable immediately upon submission of registration or upon receipt of an invoice if a “bill me later” option was selected.

All registration fees must be paid in full prior to the event. If payment is not received before the event, the registrant will not be permitted to attend, and the registrant will remain legally responsible for payment of the registration fees.

Cancellations & Refunds

Requests for cancellation and reimbursement of registration fees (“refunds”) will not be accepted or approved if received less than 10 business days prior to the event.

For sponsorship purchases, no refunds will be issued 20 days or less prior to the event. Cancellation of a sponsorship outside of this timeframe is at the sole discretion of NVSAA.

Registration Approval

NVSAA maintains full authority and all legal rights to approve or reject any registration in its sole discretion. Registration is not considered accepted until all registration fees have been paid in full and the registrant has been added to the official attendance roster.

If NVSAA rejects a registration for any reason, the registrant will be notified and any fees paid for that specific event will be refunded.

Registration Information Sharing

By registering for an event, you acknowledge and consent to NVSAA sharing basic registration information with NVSAA supplier partners and event sponsors. This information may include, but is not limited to, your name, contact information, employer, and job title, for the purpose of informing sponsors and partners of event attendance.

Sponsorship Purchases

Submission of a registration that includes a sponsorship purchase legally binds you to payment of the associated sponsorship fee. Sponsorship fees are due and payable immediately upon submission.

Sponsorships are not considered accepted until payment has been received in full and the purchaser has been added to the official sponsorship roster. If payment is not received, sponsorship recognition will not be provided, attendance as a sponsor may be denied, and financial responsibility for the sponsorship fee remains.

Sponsorship availability is subject to exclusivity agreements, first rights of refusal, and NVSAA approval. NVSAA reserves full authority to approve or reject any sponsorship request. If a sponsorship request is rejected, any fees paid for that sponsorship will be refunded.

Conduct at Events

Conduct at NVSAA events is governed by the Association’s Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct.

By registering for or sponsoring an NVSAA event, you acknowledge and agree that you, and any attendees and/or guests attending under your registration or sponsorship, will conduct themselves in a courteous, professional, and respectful manner throughout the event and in connection with all event-related activities.

Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment, discrimination, bullying, intimidation, or coercive behavior

  • Retaliation against any individual for reporting a concern or participating in an investigation

  • Unwanted physical contact or sexual advances

  • Personal attacks, threats, or hostile behavior, whether verbal, physical, or visual

  • Display of offensive, sexual, or inappropriate materials

  • Consumption of alcohol or other substances to the extent professional conduct is compromised

  • Use of illegal substances

  • Any behavior that disrupts a safe, inclusive, and professional environment

These standards apply to all NVSAA events, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, and to all interactions occurring in connection with an NVSAA event.

A registrant, attendee, or guest who violates these standards may be removed from the event immediately without refund and may be prohibited from attending future NVSAA events and/or have their NVSAA membership suspended or revoked, at the discretion of the Association.

Antitrust Compliance

As a 501(c)(6) trade association, NVSAA is committed to full compliance with all applicable antitrust and competition laws. NVSAA events bring together competitors, suppliers, and other industry participants, and all attendees are expected to conduct themselves accordingly.

Members, attendees, and guests must refrain from any activity, discussion, or action that could be construed as anti-competitive or in violation of antitrust laws.

Prohibited discussions include, but are not limited to:

  • Pricing, rent levels, fees, or price-fixing

  • Allocation of markets or customers

  • Wages, compensation, or employment terms

  • Boycotts or exclusionary practices

These restrictions apply to all formal and informal discussions at NVSAA events, including meetings, educational sessions, networking activities, social events, and virtual or hybrid settings connected to the event.

If any participant believes a discussion may raise antitrust concerns, the discussion should cease immediately and NVSAA staff should be notified.

NVSAA reserves the right to interrupt or end any discussion and to take appropriate action, including removal from the event, to ensure compliance with antitrust laws.

Liability Waiver & Release

By registering for or sponsoring an NVSAA event, you acknowledge and agree that you, and any attendees or guests appearing under your registration or sponsorship, attend and participate in events at your own risk and voluntarily assume all associated risks.

NVSAA events may include activities provided by NVSAA or third parties, including but not limited to dancing, games, photo booths, photography services, sponsor demonstrations, food and alcohol consumption, and interactive experiences. Participation in such activities may involve inherent risks, including physical or psychological injury, illness, disability, or death.

You acknowledge these risks based on your own physical condition and limitations (known or unknown) and agree to participate voluntarily. You hereby release and forever discharge NVSAA and its officers, directors, employees, attorneys, representatives, and agents (“Released Parties”) from any claims, damages, losses, or causes of action arising from event attendance or participation, except those resulting from the intentional or grossly negligent acts of the Released Parties.
